What to Do in Case of a Car Accident

Call your insurance company's Accident Care 24 hours a day on the telephone number that it has and is listed in your contract (from a landline or mobile phone). A special associate comes FREE to the scene of the accident where: 1) Records the circumstances of the accident 2) Photographs the vehicles involved 3) Draws up a rough sketch 4) Gathers witness information 5) Helps you fill out the Amicable Settlement or Accident Declaration form on site, completing the accident reporting and declaration process. 6) Call the Traffic Police to confirm the incident (If there is an injury).

The NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) 2014-2020 constitutes the main strategic plan for the development of the country with the assistance of significant resources coming from the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) of the European Union.

How to register on TaxisNet

The registration process is completed in three steps: Submit a Registration Application. Complete your registration application online at https://www1.gsis.gr/registration/chooseRegistrationType.htm following the instructions. The system checks your application and -if it confirms the information you provided- immediately issues you a receipt which also states the deadline within which you must go to your local tax office to collect the key number that has been issued on your behalf. Approval of the application at the Tax Office. You visit the Registry Department of your Tax Office and request to receive the corresponding key number. The only information required for this process is your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and proof of your identity (such as an ID card, passport, or Greek Diaspora ID, etc.). ATTENTION: You must visit your Tax Office in person if the registration concerns you personally or another citizen (e.g., a resident abroad for whom you have been appointed as a proxy or a child for whom you have parental responsibility) or a non-natural person, provided you are its legal representative and your details are already registered in the Tax Office's Registry. In the event that a Natural Person or their legal representative or the legally represented entity of a Non-Natural Person is unable to attend the Tax Office, a Special Power of Attorney for this specific certification process, valid for four months, will be submitted. Upon completion of the process at the Registry Department, two certificates are printed. One of these - which will be provided to you - contains the activation code that is necessary for activating your account. Activation of User Account Visit the New TAXISnet page and follow the path "BASIC FUNCTIONS" – "Certification Services" – "Account Activation". Change the initial password as indicated by the system, and you are now one of the users of the New TAXISnet!

Who is required to file a tax return?

The electronic submission of the declaration is mandatory for every natural person who resides in Greece, has reached the age of 18 and acquires real or imputed income, as well as for residents abroad who acquire real income in Greece.
